Kids nowadays! Who to blame?Nowadays kids become so... How to say? In a nice way, kids become very brave. In a mean way, they don't know what is dangerous.
Just now I went out to buy my lunch. There are 6 schools near my house. When I passed by one secondary school, a lot of cars and bas were parking beside the road side, and there were a lot of kids standing beside the roadside. We, the drivers, have to slow down for them to cross the road. Some kids are knowledgeable enough to cross the road as fast as they can before they knocked by a car. After I passed the school, here comes 3 Malay guys. The car from my opposite lane was speeding, but these 3 kids ran across the road and stop in the middle because my car is coming and my car was actually quite near to them, so they should stop for the car but not the car should stop for them. But I know kids won't know this so I slowed down my car again for them. 2 kids were smart enough to stop, but this brave 'dai goh' walked across the road in front of my car in a slow speed and used his eyes to look at me at the same time. When I looked at him, he used his eyes to showed me how proud and how geng is he. Oh no! Did he even think of when he is still dreaming how geng is he, he might already knocked by a car and die?
Do they know how to protect themselves? Or actually we should blame their parents for not teaching them the right thing? When I am outside, I saw some parents care what they want to buy than their children. Some parents will chit chat with their friends happily without noticing their children walk away from them or spoil something. After something happened, they will scold the child for being so naughty. But have they ever think, if they pay more attention on their children, they will have more chance to teach them the right thing. So, we should blame the children for being so naughty or parents who don't teach their children?
